Mammola, one of the most characteristic villages of Costa dei Gelsomini, where art and history have left indelible traces in its narrow streets, small houses and ancient churches. Here we also find MuSaBa: an ancient monastery dating back to the 11th century, restored by world-famous painter Nik Spatari, who has turned it into a real open-air museum that attracts hundreds of artists from all over the world every year to take part in exhibitions and cultural initiatives. In Mammola, there is also time for food and wine excellences: right here you can stop at a small company specialised in artisanal processing and the traditional “soaking” of stockfish (cod).
