Today’s excursion will take you to the heart of Grecanica area (Grecìa Calabria). The first destination will be Roghudi, one of the most peculiar abandoned villages of Aspromonte perched on a ridge overlooking Amendolea river. Here, walking through the old houses, you will see some glimpses of life in the last century, admiring the charm and uniqueness of the old village.
At the end of the visit, you will move to Bova, considered the capital of Grecanica region and one of The Most Beautiful Villages in Italy (I Borghi più belli d’Italia), Touring Club Italiano’s orange flag, where you will take a short walk to admire the highlights of the village. Along the way, some special rock formations can be spotted, such as Caldaie del latte (Milk Boilers) and Rocca del drako (The dragon’s rock), which are among the protagonists of Aspromonte’s nomination as a Unesco Geopark.
