On a rocky spur about 300 metres above sea level rises the village of Caulonia. Through ancient gates, one enters the characteristic medieval town centre. Very famous are its squares, Piazza Mese, Piazza Seggio and Piazza Baglio, in the past, respectively, the religious, political and commercial centre of the town, the ruins of the Medieval Castle and many churches decorated with unique works of art.
