The journey will begin in the late afternoon, reaching Gallicianò (municipality of Condofuri), one of the most important villages of the Greek-speaking community in Calabria, the only village where all the inhabitants still speak Griko dialect, albeit only in the household. You will find yourself in the heart of the Greek Aspromonte, overlooking the immense valley of Fiumara Amendolea.
The visit of Gallicianò will start from Piazza Alimos, on which stands the evocative church of San Giovanni Battista.
After visiting the church, we will proceed with a tour of the small village, passing through the characteristic narrow streets and old houses until we reach the Ethnographic Museum, a small treasure chest containing numerous objects from the tradition and culture of Grecanica area.
Afterwards, passing by the Fountain of Love and the small open-air theatre, you will reach the beautiful Orthodox Church Panaghìa tis Elladas (Our Lady of the Greeks). We will then stop for a tasty aperitif with typical products.
The journey will end with stargazing in Roccaforte del Greco in a magical and evocative atmosphere.
